| Name |
UAV Summit 2008 |
| Host |
IDGA |
| Location |
Herndon, VA |
| Purpose |
In today’s battle space, situational awareness is integral to operational success. Technological breakthroughs, such as smaller UAVs serve an increasingly valuable role in US and Coalition force transformation. Yet payload weight, time on station, communication, airspace management, bandwidth and UCAV deployment are still issues and obstacles currently faced by all UAV operators. The continuous evolution and emergence of new capabilities, coupled with recent operational successes, have precipitated the increased use of unmanned systems across the entire operational spectrum.
New topics for UAV SUMMIT 2008:
* Airspace management
* Latest developments in DARPA’s Micro UAV and UAV programs
* Combat UAV program updates
* OIF, OEF lessons learned and current developments
* J-UCAS and UCAS-N Program Developments
