The military has been the dominant customer for UAVs in the U.S., spending nearly half a billion dollars annually on them in recent years. The organizations and tactical units within the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD/Joint), Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force responsible for defining UAV requirements, acquiring UAVs, and operating them are listed in this section, along with points of contact for each.
