Background: Sikorsky's Dragon Warrior is an evolution of their Cypher VTOL UAV. Designed to meet U.S. Marine Corps' requirements for reconnaissance in the urban environment, it can be operated in either a wings-on configuration for over-the-beach support or wings-off for urban warfare. Concept development began in 1998 for the Marine Corps Combat Development Center, Quantico, VA.
