Geneva Aerospace's recent United States Department of Defense contract
awards are providing the opportunity to transition their advanced Unmanned
Aerial Vehicle (UAV) flight control systems technologies into the
warfighting community. Most prominent among these awards includes a
contract with the Office of Naval Research to develop and demonstrate an
autonomous non-cooperative vehicle air collision avoidance system that can
facilitate the acceptance of UAVs into the US National Airspace and provide
the Situation Awareness and Sensor Data Processing technologies that form
the foundation of the Navy's Autonomous Operations initiative, one of the
twelve currently approved Future Naval Capabilities (FNCs). This program
also involves the integration of Geneva's UAV Variable Autonomy Control
technologies into the Navy's Tactical Control Station (TCS), leveraging
related efforts awarded to Geneva to provide the DoD a network-centric
multi-vehicle control capability for UAVs.
